Gov. Dickson resumes duty after a 2 weeks vacation

Governor of Bayelsa State, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson has returned to the state after a two-week vacation.

On arrival at about 3pm on Wednesday, Dickson inspected a guard of honour mounted by a detachment of the Nigeria Police attached to Government House, Yenagoa.

Speaking in an interview with Government House correspondents, Governor Dickson, expressed his delight to be back to the state, stating his preparedness to effectively run the business of governance.

He also thanked members of the restoration team, particularly his Deputy Governor, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah (Rtd), for holding the fort while he was away.

Governor Dickson reassured Bayelsans of his administration’s commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy.

On hand to receive the Governor were Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Konbowei Benson, members of the State House of Assembly, Secretary to the State Government, Professor Edmund Allison-Oguru and some members of the State Executive Council.
