Few days to his handing over, President Goodluck Jonathan has called on Nigerians on whose toes he may have stepped while making vital decisions during his administration to forgive him.

He rendered the apology on Sunday at a farewell service organised for him and his family at the Aso Villa Chapel.

“Nobody is perfect and there was no way I would not have done some things that some people would find annoying,” Jonathan said.

He said whatever things people may have been viewed as his wrong doing should be forgiven, keeping in mind that he is an imperfect human.

“There are times one would take a decision in the best interest of all, but even friends would misunderstand the situation,” he added.

“I plead for understanding from all Nigerians.”
